WORKSHOPS & CLINICS
One of the most unique components of my lesson program is Workshops, which are offered periodically year round. Workshops are limited to 6 students to maintain a 3 to 1 student/teacher ratio! In addition to fundamental riding skills, students learn safe handling procedures, proper grooming techniques and correct use and care of riding equipment. Workshops are held at the beautiful Legacy Equestrian Center and are taught by myself and Patricia LaCount. Together we foster a sense of responsibility and love for horses by emphasizing the importance of respect and appropriate care for them. Each Workshop is unique focusing on different skills.
Summer Workshop I
June 17-21, 2019, 9am - 1pm
(open to riders age 10 and up, deadline to register is June 1st)
$350 per rider
Our first workshop this summer will focus on strengthening foundation equitation skills and build horse keeping knowledge. Each day of this workshop will include two hours of riding instruction and two hours of seminars and educational games. This workshop will include a live shoeing presentation given by Certified Jouneyman Farrier Nathan Rogers, a hands on feeding and nutrition seminar (learn how to make your own horse treats!), and a lesson on tying safe knots & weaving (weave your own belt!).
